Gardaí have named the man who died last night from injuries suffered when he was knocked off his bicycle in Dublin last week.

Polish national Marcin Struk (23), from Marley Avenue, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16, was seriously injured when he was collided with a grey Renault Scenic car on August 16th.

The crash took place at 8.15am at the pedestrian traffic lights on Drummartin Link Road at the Kilmacud Luas Station.

Mr Struk was taken to Beaumount Hospital where he died yesterday of his injuries. He was the 253rd person killed on Irish roads this year.
