A man has died following a road traffic crash in Galway early this morning.
The single vehicle crash took place at Ballinahown, Rossavil, Galway between midnight and 3am. The 28-year-old man died when the car he was driving struck a water pump house.
His body was taken to University College Hospital Galway, where a post mortem examination will be carried out.
Gardaí are appealling to anyone who may have travelled this road between 11.30pm yesterday and 3am this morning, and may have winessed the accident to contact them at Salthill Garda station on 091 514720.
