A man has been killed in a knife attack in Dublin

A man has been killed in a knife attack in Dublin. The victim was stabbed several times at an apartment near Mount Argus Church in Harold's Cross.

Gardaí were called to the address at Manor Villas at around 6.30am after neighbours raised the alarm.

The victim, who was said to have received a number of stab wounds, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man in his mid 20s has been arrested in connection with the killing. He is being held at Sundrive Road Garda station.
