A man in his 30s has died and another has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Co Cork this morning.
The victim died after the 4x4 he was driving collided with a truck at Ballybeg on the Mallow side of Buttevant on the main Cork to Limerick road at about 6:15am.
The truck driver was taken to Mallow Hospital suffering from shock. Both men were the sole occupants of their vehicles.
The road has been closed to facilitate a forensic collision investigation and gardaí at Mallow have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
