A man has died following a three-car collision on the N10 Kilkenny to Waterford road this morning.
The incident took place just before 9am at Rathclough, Danesfort, 10 kilometres outside of Kilkenny.
The deceased man was the driver of one of the three cars and was pronounced dead at the scene and was removed to Ardkeen General Hospital in Waterford.
The male passenger in the car received minor injuries and was taken to St Luke's hospital in Kilkenny.
The male driver in the second car was taken to Ardkeen where he is described as being in a serious but stable condition. Two people in another car received minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
The road is currently closed for a forensic collision examination and diversions are in place.
