Man dies in accident

A 53-year-old man died yesterday afternoon when his car struck a roundabout at Glanmire in Co Cork. The victim was in the car on his own when the crash occurred at the Dunkettle roundabout about 2 p.m. The roundabout is on the main Cork-Dublin road. His death brings to 45 the number of people killed in road accidents in September. A total of 341 people have died on the roads this year.
