A 36-year-old married father of one child died in Cork University Hospital early yesterday following an industrial accident on Saturday afternoon at Irish Ispat, formerly Irish Steel, at Haulbowline in Cork Harbour.
Mr John Murphy, an electrician from Cobh, died after falling almost 30 feet onto a concrete surface from a crane he was working on. He was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital, where he died.
