The trial of a Ballymun man charged with raping an elderly woman in a Dublin park continued with legal argument in the absence of the jury yesterday.

The man, in his 30s, has pleaded not guilty in the Central Criminal Court to charges of rape, aggravated sexual assault and sexual assault of the woman in a park near Dublin City University on August 5th, 1996.
