Gardaí have launched a public appeal for information about an attack that has left a man with critical injuries.
He was found badly beaten on waste ground on the bank of the Royal Canal at Shandon Park, Dublin, at 3.30pm on Monday. The injured man, in his 20s, remains in a critical condition in the Mater hospital.
Gardaí have asked anyone with information to contact them at Mountjoy Garda station on 01-666 8600.
