The PSNI Crime Operations Department has charged a 51-year-old man with the murder of Stanley Close (55), who was found dead in his flat in Belfast in August 1986.
The man, who was arrested in Manchester earlier this week following a renewed investigation into the case, will appear in Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Mr Close was found strangled to death at his flat in Campton Court in the Willowfield area of east Belfast.
