Police in Belfast last night arrested a man in connection with the death of a man whose battered body was found inside a burning house.
The body of Mr Michael McPartland (44) was discovered at his home in Ross Cottages on the Falls Road, in west Belfast.
Emergency services were called to the address shortly after 10 p.m. on Saturday and discovered Mr McPartland inside.
A post-mortem revealed he had suffered injuries to his upper body and head. Following the post mortem examination late last night, an RUC spokesman said the man's death was being treated as a murder inquiry.
