A man in his 20s and a 14 year old boy have been charged, with the manslaughter of a young Irishman in Manchester on Saturday.
Mr George Tripp (27), originally from Dun Laoghaire, drowned after he was attacked by two men at 12.30 am. on Saturday morning.
Mr Tripp, who had been working as an accountant in Manchester for some time, was involved in an altercation with the two men, during which he was thrown into a canal off Minshul Street in Manchester city centre. Firefighters recovered his body from the canal.
Mr Tripp's father, Mr George Tripp snr, and his brother, Mr Simon Tripp, travelled to Manchester from Dublin on Saturday.
