A Dungannon man accused of damaging churches was returned for trial at Cookstown Magistrates' Court yesterday.

A Dungannon man accused of damaging churches was returned for trial at Cookstown Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Mr Desmond Laurence Campbell (28), of no fixed abode, is accused of damaging by fire Derryloran Church of Ireland church in Cookstown, a statue in nearby Holy Trinity Catholic Church, a car owned by a former moderator of the Presbyterian Church, Dr Andrew Rodgers, and headstones and a statue in the Convent of Mercy Cemetery in Dungannon during October and December 1995.
