At a court in Kilcormac, Co Offaly, yesterday a 62-year-old man appeared before Judge Jim O'Sullivan charged with 62 sex-related offences.
The defendant was accused of 20 charges of raping his sister on dates between 1950 and 1987 and also with 22 charges of sexual assault and 20 charges of having unlawful carnal knowledge. He was remanded on his own bail of £1,000 to appear at Tullamore Court on January 15th.
