Police in Belfast today launched a murder inquiry following the discovery of a man's body.

Police in Belfast today launched a murder inquiry following the discovery of a man's body.

The 38-year-old victim is believed to have been badly beaten. The police described it as "a particularly brutal murder."

Two men were later arrested and questioned about the killing, which happened in a flat at Friendly Place in the Markets area.

Neighbours found the man's body in the living room.

A number of people had been in the flat earlier.
