A MAN was taken to hospital last night after he was shot at his home in Tallaght.
The 23-year-old received injuries to his chest and upper body after he was shot a number of times at his parents’ home at about 8pm yesterday in the Allenton estate in Ballycragh, Tallaght, Co Dublin.
It is understood the man opened the door to the gunman who shot him a number of times. The man was taken by ambulance to Tallaght hospital where he was said to be in a serious condition last night.
The scene of the shooting has been preserved for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau. Gardaí in Tallaght are working to establish a motive for the shooting. They are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the Allenton estate or who may have any information to contact gardaí in Tallaght.
