A man has died in a two-vehicle collision in Co Kildare last night. The man (22) was fatally injured when his car collided with another vehicle on the R445 - Monasterevin to Kildare Road - shortly before 8pm.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to gardaí, the female driver of the second vehicle was seriously injured and has been taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise.
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Garda forensic investigators are examining the scene.
