A 20-year-old man has been arrested after  a kilogram of heroin with an estimated street value of €200,000 was discovered during a search in west Dublin last night.

A weighing scales and various drug paraphernalia were also recovered in the course of the search at the house in St Mark's Grove, Clondalkin,

The man was arrested at around 10.00am this morning.

He is being held at Ronanstown Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
