A YOUNG man died and two others were seriously injured in a car crash in Co Kilkenny yesterday afternoon.
Gardaí in Thomastown are investigating the crash, which happened at about 1.20pm, 3km outside Mullinavat on the N9 Waterford road.
The 19-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other two occupants, who are in their 20s, were taken to Waterford Regional Hospital for treatment.
No other vehicles were involved.
The road was closed to facilitate a forensic examination.
