PHNOM PENH - The highest malaria rates ever recorded in Indochina are devastating Cambodia's north eastern forest villages, a local newspaper reported yesterday.

Quoting health care workers, the Cambodia Daily reported that in parts of Ratanakiri province, which borders both Vietnam and Laos, more than 41 per cent of all villagers had malaria parasites.
