Major collision in Antrim injures 12 children

Twelve children and two adults have been injured in major road collision in Co Antrim, it emerged this morning.

The children are understood to have been travelling in a minibus when it collided with a lorry on the A8 near Larne shortly before 9.30 a.m.

The injured have been taken to Antrim Area Hospital where a major emergency has been declared.

The road remains blocked with debris and diesel following the crash.
