THE DUBLIN home of missing solicitor Michael Lynn was withdrawn from auction yesterday after failing to attract bids.
The house, 20 St Alban's Park, Sandymount, has been put on the market in a private-treaty sale with an asking price of €1.85 million. It is being sold by order of the Commercial Court, a division of the High Court.
Paul Aherne of auctioneers Lisney, which is selling the property, said he felt there was still interest in it among potential buyers. The semidetached house covers 2,142sq ft, has three bedrooms and is located off Sydney Parade Avenue in Dublin 4.
Ulster Bank, Bank of Scotland (Ireland) and AIB, which are owed money by Mr Lynn, have made claims against the house. Mr Lynn's wife Bríd Murphy has also made a claim against the property.
Bank of Scotland (Ireland) claims it advanced a €1.2 million loan on the house, while Ulster Bank claims it provided a €1.3 million loan. The Commercial Court granted permission to Ulster Bank allowing for the sale of the house.
