MINOR changes have been made by the former Minister, Mr Michael Lowry, in the new Register of Members' Interests which has been laid before the Dail.
The new entry, for the period February 1st, 1996. to January 31st, 1997, reflects the change in Mr Lowry's position arising from his resignation as Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications last November.
Mr Lowry's occupational income is now registered as company director, Garuda Limited T/A Streamline Enterprises, Abbey Road, Thurles. Landlord; The Green, Holycross. Glenreigh, Holycross. His occupational income in the previous year, from July 22nd, 1995, to January 31st, 1996, was described as "nil".
There is only a minor difference in his entry under shares. The new register reads: "Ordinary shares; Garuda Limited, Abbey Road, Thurles; refrigeration, installation and maintenance. Shares - ICC B.E.S. Tourism Fund Ltd; B.E.S.".
Mr Lowry is listed as executive director, Garuda Ltd, Abbey Road, Thurles; refrigeration installation and maintenance.
Under the "land" heading, the entry says: Glenreigh, Holycross, Thurles; private residence and 35 acres; home. The Green, Holycross, Thurles; previous home. Carysfort Avenue, Blackrock, Dublin; Investment."
