Londis to open 20 stores on forecourts

Convenience store group ADM Londis has agreed a deal to place 20 of its outlets at Texeco service stations.

Convenience store group ADM Londis has agreed a deal to place 20 of its outlets at Texeco service stations.

In a statement Londis said the agreement would see turnover rise by an estimated €50 million and would lead to the creation of 300 new jobs. ADM Londis will invest €25 million in these new store developments.

Ten of the new stores will be opened at existing garages in Munster and Connaught later this year, with the first two scheduled to open by July.

The remainder will open next year. 

ADM Londis has 370 outlets in Ireland, 80 of which are on garage forecourts, although to date, none were with  

Texoil is Chevron Ireland's largest Texaco branded oil distributor and currently employs over 160 staff.

Stephen O’Riordan, joint CEO with ADM Londis said the forecourt expansion showed that no retail group “can rest on its laurels as retailers and consumers alike demand continued innovation”.
