A CAMPAIGN aimed at encouraging consumers and businesses to shop locally has been launched in Limerick.

The “Buy Local” campaign aims to bring local businesses in Limerick together during the economic downturn.

The initiative is being championed by TaxAssist Accountants, an accountancy and taxation service for small businesses, which has been supplying local independent businesses with window stickers to spread the message

The campaign was officially launched on Roches Street in Limerick over the weekend by Minister of State for Trade Jan O’Sullivan.
