A Limerick businessman was drowned in the west Clare seaside resort of Kilkee yesterday evening

A Limerick businessman was drowned in the west Clare seaside resort of Kilkee yesterday evening. The body of Mr Richard Hurley, in his late forties, was removed near the pier by members of the Kilkee diving centre at 6 p.m. Mr Michael Staunton (32), of Bruree, Co Limerick, was killed by a car while walking on the main Bruree-Kilmallock road at 1.45 a.m.
