There has been an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.

There has been an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.

Infection controls have been stepped up after seven patients and four staff developed symptoms of the bug.

Samples have been sent to Dublin for analysis and there is restricted access in three wards.
