Mgr Des Hartford, the Dublin priest who was recently held for 11 days by members of the Muslim Moro National Liberation Front in the Philippines, has returned home for a holiday. He is a priest with the Missionary Society of St Columban, and it is intended that while he is at home investigations will take place on whether it is safe for him to return to his Marawi diocese in the Philippines. Mgr Hartford will be interviewed on RTE's Would You Believe programme on Sunday.
