Two secondary students, one of whom twice set Dingle's boys' secondary school on fire, had sentencing further adjourned yesterday at the Circuit Criminal Court in Tralee.

Gregory O'Connor (18), Seanachnoc, Baile an Fheirtearaigh, had pleaded guilty to two arson attacks on Dingle CBS school. A previous sitting heard €1 million in damage was done to the school.

On January 1st, 2005, O'Connor set fire to the classrooms and the administration section. On February 11th, he set fire to a replacement pre-fab.

Together with Sam Lynch (18), Ceathru, Dunquin, O'Connor also took part in a burglaries, larcenies and taking cars between October 2004 and February 2005.

Judge Carroll Moran noted a suspended sentence under supervision was recommended by probation officers for O'Connor.

He adjourned sentencing with liberty to July 4th on condition that the pair obey the directions of the probation service.
