Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed tonight that Roy Keane will be back in full time training later this week.
Keane last played against Sunderland at the end of August and has been sidelined through suspension and a hip operation.
He is unlikely to play for another couple of weeks as he builds up his match fitness.
Ferguson told MUTV: "Roy will be starting full time training this week, hopefully by the end of the week.

"From then on we will monitor how he is coming through that part where he has to twist, turn and kick the ball. It is an important week for Roy."
Keane's anticipated return to action, coming on the back of the 2-1 win over Liverpool, has improved the mood of optimism around Old Trafford.
