The jury in the trial of a 58year-old Co Carlow man accused of raping his sister when she was five has been discharged. It had failed to reach a verdict after six hours at the Central Criminal Court. The man had denied five counts of raping his sister and five counts of sexual assault between 1966 and 1969.
