Jordan's Firman ruled out of Monza GP

Jordan's Ralph Firman is out of this weekend's Italian Grand Prix in Monza.

Jordan's Ralph Firman is out of this weekend's Italian Grand Prix in Monza.

The 28-year-old has been told not to race because he has a slight inner ear imbalance as a result of the 150mph crash he suffered during practice in Hungary three weeks ago.

Firman, who was forced to sit out the Hungarian race, was advised not to compete following a check up with Professor Sid Watkins in Monza today.

Jordan have not decided who will replace Firman but Hungary's Zsolt Baumgartner is likely to deputise.

Germany's Ralf Schumacher was cleared to compete this week after a check up by Watkins following his crash during testing in Monza last week.
