THE IRISH TIMES figured prominently in the 2008 UK Print Awards, which were announced at a ceremony in London this week. The awards, which celebrate "excellence in newspaper production", are open to newspapers in Britain and Ireland.

For the fourth time in the past five years The Irish TimesSaturday Magazine was named Coldset Colour Supplement of the Year, while the newspaper was "highly commended" in the National Newspaper of the Year category, behind the Financial Times. The Irish Timeswas the only Irish newspaper group to win an award.
