Industrial production for manufacturing industries from May to July fell 1

Industrial production for manufacturing industries from May to July fell 1.9 per cent when compared with the preceding three months, the Central Statistics Office (CSO) reported today.

However, the figures also show that industrial production across all sectors was 6.4 per cent higher in July than in the same month last year.

The modern sector, which comprises the high-tech and chemical sectors, showed a year-on-year increase in production of 8.1 per cent.

The traditional sector recorded a 1.4 per cent increase in July.
