Man in his 50s dies following car crash in Co Kerry

A 52-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Co Kerry.

The incident occurred at 3.20pm on the N86 between Ballintaggart and Dingle.

The man was driving a minibus when it left the road and drove into a ditch.

The man was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry, where he was later pronounced dead.

Four passengers travelling in the minibus at the time of the crash were uninjured.

Garda forensic collision investigators are currently examining the scene of the incident and local traffic diversions are in place
