Surfing: Ireland finished 19th of 33 competing countries following 10 days of competition at the World Surfing Games at Huntington Beach in California.

Australia took top honours with Brazil, the United States and South Africa finishing second, third and fourth respectively.

Ballymena's John McCurry was Ireland's top ranked finisher, placing 17th in the Longboard division.

Bundoran's Nicole Morgan performed well to finish 21st in the women's division as did Strandhill's Shane Meehan who finished 25th in the men's Bodyboard.
