Iona Technologies has announced record fourth quarter revenues of $47.9 million (euro 51.3 million). The figure represents a 44 per cent increase on the same period for 1999.
The software platform providers reported revenues of $153.1 million (euro 163.9 million) for the year 2000, up 45 per cent on 1999.
Despite posting record results the company's share price remained relatively static on the Dublin stock exchange, trading at euro 61.00.
Iona's chief executive, Mr Barry Morris, said: "Iona's fourth quarter and year end results - by far the best in our company's history - were fueled by the success of the iPortal Suite".
Mr Morris said: "The iPortal Suite is winning because it is the industry's only comprehensive platform built on a unified, coherent architecture, that provides the infrastructure companies need to run their businesses on."
"We exited an outstanding year in strong fashion with our Q4 results," said Mr Dan Demmer, IONA's Chief Financial Officer. "I'm particularly pleased with our sustained revenue growth and our profitable business model," he added.
