The Flood Tribunal is this week expected to investigate reports that Liam Lawlor destroyed personal documents the day before he was jailed.

A Sunday newspaper yesterday reported that Lawlor burned credit card statements and other papers at his home in Lucan last Tuesday.

According the Sunday Worldsome of the documents being burned blew onto the road outside Lawlor's house and were given to the newspaper.

The High Court last Monday jailed Lawlor for three months for contempt, but suspended all but one week of the sentence on condition the TD complied with the tribunal.
