WASHINGTON - The FBI director, Mr Louis Freeh, yesterday warned that the Internet is being used by child molesters to lure young children and transmit child pornography.

Mr Freeh also told a Senate appropriations sub-committee that paedophiles were using Internet service "chat rooms"

to entice underage children into meeting them as well as to communicate with fellow molesters and create pornography rings.
