The first public sitting of the inquiry to investigate the conduct of District Court Judge Donnchadh O Buachalla in relation to the licensing of Jack White's pub in Co Wicklow will take place next Wednesday.
Headed by Supreme Court judge, Mr Justice Murphy, the inquiry will sit at the King's Inns, Henrietta Street, Dublin, at 2.30 p.m. where applications for legal representation from interested parties will be considered.
The licence for the Co Wicklow pub was held jointly by Catherine, and Tom Nevin who was murdered on the premises in March 1996. Catherine Nevin is serving a life sentence for his murder.
It is alleged Judge O Buachalla made an order transferring the pub licence for Jack White's Inn to Mrs Nevin two months after she was charged with her husband's murder. Among those expected to seek representation at the inquiry next week will be the Nevin family, Judge O Buachalla and the Garda.
Mr Justice Murphy will also fix the time and venue for hearings and make procedural rulings.
The inquiry's legal team will include Mr Sean Ryan SC, Mr Declan Doyle, barrister, and Mr Michael Buckley, former chief state solicitor.
The establishment of the statutory inquiry was approved by the Government in April.
