A date has been set for the inquest into the death of a woman whose body was found stuffed into a travel bag near the Phoenix Park, Dublin, earlier this year.

Rudo Mawere (26), Leinster Road, Rathmines, Dublin, and originally from Malawi, was strangled before her killer stuffed her body into the travel bag and then abandoned it at Blackhorse Avenue, north of the Phoenix Park.

The body was discovered by a passerby on January 29th.

At Dublin Coroner’s Court yesterday, Det Garda Insp Nick McGrath said all Garda inquiries had concluded following the death of the main suspect, who took his own life in Britain shortly after the murder.

Coroner Dr Brian Farrell adjourned the inquest for a full hearing on September 26th.
