Members of Kerry Mountain rescue have located a man who fell and sustained head injuries in the Magillicuddy Reeks yesterday afternoon.

The 33-year-old man, who fell while climbing with another man on the eastern side of the mountains at around 3.00 p.m., had to be stretchered off the mountain.

Rescue efforts were hampered by poor weather conditions, but the man was finally brought to safety shortly before midnight last night.
