Paper makes £3m advertising claim
The publishers of Daily Ireland have launched a £3 million (€4.3 million) claim against the British government over the denial of advertising. The bill represents a government advertising spend of £200,000 a month.
The case follows a decision by the Office of the First Minister and the Deputy First Minister not to place recruitment or public notice advertisements in Daily Ireland but to continue the policy of advertising in the Belfast Telegraph, Irish News and News Letter.
