A migrant was shot dead tonight during a fight between immigrants at an industrial
estate near the French Channel port of Calais, emergency workers said.
Calais is a major staging post for migrants seeking to cross from mainland Europe to Britain, and has been the scene of frequent unrest among rival groups of migrants, mainly Afghans and Kurds.
