ULSTER Bank is to meet union representatives to discuss new salary structures and regrading for staff, writes Padraig Yeates. After exploratory talks last week, management and Irish Bank Officials' Association representatives are to meet on June 4th for detailed discussions. In the meantime, proposals by the bank to introduce changes unilaterally have been suspended. Both sides were reluctant to comment on progress so far, but informed sources said the meeting on June 4th would probably decide if differences could be resolved through negotiation.
