The Minister for the Environment, Mr Howlin, has been accused by PD spokeswoman Ms Maureen Quill, of "gross neglect" of Lough Corrib.
She called for an embargo on the surface spreading of slurry and the spreading of phosphates and nitrates in the vicinity of the lake; better local sewage treatment; and effective management of septic tanks.
