Hooded attackers break man’s leg in Belfast

A man is recovering in hospital after having his leg broken in an apparent paramilitary-style attack in Belfast this morning.

A man is recovering in hospital after having his leg broken in an apparent paramilitary-style attack in Belfast this morning.

The man was abducted by two hooded men and taken to an alleyway at Fort Street, off Springfield Avenue in west Belfast just after 10 o’clock.

A hood was placed over the victim and his leg placed on a brick before it was broken with a sledgehammer.

Police are appealling for witnesses.
