Hoax device left at Dublin school

Gardaí and members of the Army were called to a school in Dublin this morning after a suspicious device was found.

Gardaí and members of the Army were called to a school in Dublin this morning after a suspicious device was found.

An Army bomb disposal team was deployed to Bluebell Primary School at about 7.05am to assess a device which was later found to be a hoax.

A controlled explosion was carried out on the device and the area was declared safe shortly before 8am.

The school is being used as a polling station for today's presidential election and referendums.
