THE Nobel Prizewinning poet Seamus Heaney returns to his alma mater, Queen's University Belfast, today to lay the foundation stone for a new library which will bear his name. In a separate ceremony at the university, he will open a public exhibition on his life and works.

The £2.2 million Seamus Heaney Library is due for completion early next year. It will house 20,000 books.
