If you do onwe thing this week . . . treat your feet
Sandals, peep-toes and flip flops have started to creep into the shoe shops, which can only mean that pretty soon your feet will have to come out of hibernation – be it for a quick blast at the beach or a summer in slingbacks.
But treating them well will help you put your best feet forward for summer. Basic foot care includes washing feet daily in warm water and drying them thoroughly. Applying olive oil can help keep skin soft and in good condition but avoid putting moisturiser between the toes. Wear supportive shoes when you can, rub hard skin with a pumice stone and keep nails trim, making sure they are cut or filed straight across.
If you have any problems like corns, fungal infections, verrucas or bunions, put your feet in the hands of an expert – to find a podiatrist in Ireland
